Lunar Client is the most popular client for Hypixel and 1.8.9 PvP. Here are settings that give you a clean, smooth setup.

Launcher settings

• Allocated memory: 3-4 GB is plenty for most players with a 16x pack.
• Version: 1.8.9 for Bedwars/PvP unless you need newer features.
• Close the launcher on game start to save resources.

Performance settings

• Render distance 6-8, simulation distance low
• Entity culling on, particles minimal
• Fast graphics, clouds off, smooth lighting off
• Max FPS: cap at a stable number your PC holds
• VSync off

Mods worth enabling

• Keystrokes / CPS (practice feedback)
• Ping display to spot connection issues
• Bedwars mod / Level head for game info
• Item counter, armor status, potion effects
